Crash, explained

A multiplier starts at 1.00× and climbs. At a secret, pre-drawn point it "crashes". Cash out before then and you win your bet × the multiplier on screen; miss it and the bet is gone. With a 1% house edge the crash point is drawn as 0.99 / (1 − r) where r is a uniform random number — so the chance of reaching any multiplier M is simply 99% ÷ M. Reaching 2× happens 49.5% of the time, 10× happens 9.9% of the time, 100× under 1%.

Auto cash-out is the whole strategy

Every target has the same expected return (−1% per round). What changes is variance: a 1.2× target wins often and loses rarely but each loss wipes five wins; a 20× target loses 95% of the time. Set auto cash-out, decide before the round starts, and notice how tempting it is to override it while the curve is climbing. That temptation is the product.

FAQ
How is the crash point decided?

Before the round starts, from a random number. The formula 0.99/(1−r) gives a 1% house edge and a 1% chance of an instant 1.00× crash.

What's the chance of reaching 2×?

49.5%. In general, 99%/M for any multiplier M.

Can I predict crash from previous rounds?

No. Each round is independent; a run of low crashes does not make a high one 'due'.

Is Crash the same on CSGORoll?

Same format and similar maths. CSGORoll shows the curve, a cash-out button and an auto cash-out field, just like this demo, but with real skins.

Crash — four things worth knowing

  1. Decide the cash-out before the round starts and use auto cash-out. Manual cash-outs drift upward under pressure.
  2. Chance of reaching M is 99% ÷ M. 1.5× lands 66% of the time, 3× lands 33%, 10× lands 9.9%.
  3. Every target has the same expected return (−1%). Lower targets lose slower; higher targets lose in fewer, bigger steps.
  4. 1% of rounds crash at 1.00× instantly. That is where the edge lives — no cash-out can beat it.

On the real sites

CSGORoll, Duel, Thrill and 500.casino all run Crash with a curve, cash-out and auto cash-out exactly like this demo. Edge is typically 1%; some sites publish it in the game info. Codes: CSGORoll GETBOX, CSGOEmpire case2go, 500 CSMAX, Duel MAXRB, Thrill maxrakeback.

The share of every wager the operator keeps over the long run. 1% edge = ◎10 expected loss per ◎1,000 wagered.
RTP
Return to player — the mirror of house edge. 90% RTP on a case means a 10% edge.

What a bet is worth on average: sum of (payout × probability). Always below the stake on a real site.
Variance
How much results swing around the average. High variance = long dead runs, rare big hits.
Provably fair
A seed-hash system letting you verify a result was fixed before your bet. Proves honesty, not good odds.
