How skin-site case opening works
Every case is a fixed list of skins, each with a published drop chance. The case price is set so that the expected value of the contents (price × odds, summed) comes out below what you pay. On this demo the house edge is 10%: a case priced ◎27.47 returns ◎24.72 on average.
That gap is invisible on a single open, which is exactly why case opening feels better than roulette even though it costs more per coin wagered. The profit chance figure in the panel — the share of items worth more than the case — is usually 5–20%. The other 80–95% of opens lose.
Rarity tiers
Consumer (grey) → Mil-Spec (blue) → Restricted (purple) → Classified (pink) → Covert (red) → ★ Gold (knives & gloves). Real sites weight the odds so that gold sits at roughly 0.2–1%. The strip animation is cosmetic: the winning item is decided the moment you click, before the spin starts.

Is this a real case opening site?

Why does the strip spin on its own?

Are the odds the same as on real sites?

Why do I lose most opens?
Because most items in any case are worth less than the case. The rare high-value items pull the average up, but they land only a few percent of the time.

Case Opening — four things worth knowing
- Read the odds list before opening — every real site publishes it. If one item carries most of the EV at under 1%, you are buying a lottery ticket.
- Free cases from promo codes (GETBOX and headshot give three each) are the only positive-EV cases. Open those; be honest about paying for the next one.
- Case Battles do not change the EV — they only decide who ends up holding the items. A 4-player battle is four opens, not one.
- Set a number of opens before you start. The strip animation exists to make 'one more' feel cheap.

- House edge
- The share of every wager the operator keeps over the long run. 1% edge = ◎10 expected loss per ◎1,000 wagered.
- RTP
- Return to player — the mirror of house edge. 90% RTP on a case means a 10% edge.
- Expected value (EV)
- What a bet is worth on average: sum of (payout × probability). Always below the stake on a real site.
- Variance
- How much results swing around the average. High variance = long dead runs, rare big hits.
- Provably fair
- A seed-hash system letting you verify a result was fixed before your bet. Proves honesty, not good odds.
- Rakeback
- A percentage of the house edge you generate, returned regardless of win or loss.
