Yes — that's the point. It's calculated on wagers × house edge, so you receive it whether the bet won or lost.
Which is better, rakeback or a deposit bonus?

Worked example: 70% on Dice vs 10% on Roll
Player A wagers ◎5,000/week on Dice (1% edge) with 70% rakeback: expected loss ◎50, rakeback ◎35, net −◎15, effective edge 0.3%. Player B wagers the same on Roll (6.67%) with 10% rakeback: expected loss ◎333, rakeback ◎33, net −◎300, effective edge 6%. Same turnover, twenty times the cost. The game matters more than the rate.
Common mistakes
- Applying the rakeback rate to losses. It applies to wagers × edge — win or lose.
- Using the headline rate when your VIP tier earns less.
