How skin-site promo codes work
Referral attribution, wagering, why codes can't be added later.
A skin-site promo code is a referral code. It attaches your account to an affiliate (in this case, us) and unlocks whatever the operator offers referred players: free cases, a deposit match, a rakeback boost. It is entered once, at registration or before the first deposit, and cannot usually be added afterwards.
The three offer shapes
Free cases (CSGORoll GETBOX, CSGOBig headshot, CSGOEmpire case2go): the only cases with positive expected value, because you didn't pay for them. Open them, then be honest about buying the next one. Deposit bonus (CSGORoll 10%, CSGOBig 5%, Gamdom 100%): extra balance with wagering requirements attached. Rakeback (Gamdom 15BOOST, Stake GETRAKEBACK, 500 CSMAX): a share of the house edge returned on every wager, usually without wagering — the most valuable shape for regular players.
Where the field is
Skin sites put it under Rewards → Affiliate / Referral code after you log in with Steam. Crypto casinos put it on the registration form, often collapsed behind a "Have a code?" link — expand it before submitting. Our code pages show a screenshot of each form with the code entered.
Why codes don't expire
They are standing referral codes, not dated coupons. What changes is the offer behind them, which the operator can revise. We re-check every code and print the verification date on its page; the operator's own terms override anything here.
Common mistakes
- Depositing first, adding the code later — usually impossible.
- Mistyping case-sensitive codes — copy with the button.
- Treating bonus balance as cash before the wagering is cleared.
- Opening a second account to re-use a code — breaches every site's terms and risks both accounts.
Glossary
- House edge
- The share of every wager the operator keeps over the long run. 1% edge = ◎10 expected loss per ◎1,000 wagered.
- RTP
- Return to player — the mirror of house edge. 90% RTP on a case means a 10% edge.
- Expected value (EV)
- What a bet is worth on average: sum of (payout × probability). Always below the stake on a real site.
- Variance
- How much results swing around the average. High variance = long dead runs, rare big hits.
- Provably fair
- A seed-hash system letting you verify a result was fixed before your bet. Proves honesty, not good odds.
- Rakeback
- A percentage of the house edge you generate, returned regardless of win or loss.
